On this Christmas Eve, my wish for you is that this final week of the year brings you joy and include these three things:
1. Focusing On The Positive.
Please find ways to focus on what you are grateful for, not what you didn’t get, how things went wrong or who wasn’t able to make it for the holiday celebrations. This is the perfect time to start a gratitude journal. Write down (or doodle) what you are grateful for each day. Celebrate the small wonders like your favorite ornament or decoration. Revel in the time together with those you are meant to share a piece of pie with this year.
Pour a cup of cocoa, listen to this song from the Von Trapp Children and SMILE!
If you can’t easily find something positive to focus on right now, close your eyes and imagine yourself relaxing on a sunny beach, sipping champagne on the Eiffel Tower, or sitting in front of a cozy fireplace with a cup of tea and a good book.
Get your positive focus on and flourish!
2. GIVING BACK.
If were you not able to give back or volunteer this year – it isn’t too late. Take a peek at this list of 11 ways to give back and find one that calls to you. Make a call to find out if they need any help now or get the ball rolling for next year!
Want to do something right now? How about calling a loved one you know has a hard time with the holidays and talk about how they’re doing. Be present. Listen intently to their concerns. You will likely be able to uncover a way to lift their spirits – do it with joy!
3. INTENTIONAL SELF-CARE
We have all been in GO GO GOOOOOO mode. This final week, take time for yourself. Start by taking 11 deep, cleansing, centering breaths. Ahhhhhhh…. Now – schedule a massage, soak in a bubble bath, get a pedicure with your bestie, or a take a walk to ease tension and take in the last few nights of Christmas lights on the neighbors homes.
Remember, it is selfish NOT to take time for yourself. When your soul tank is overflowing, your attitude gets a boost and the desire to serve others with open arms is amplified.
If you have a ritual you do this time of year, I would love to read about it in the comments below.
Cheers and Blessings,

Susan, thank you so much for your note! I am thrilled you are enjoying the #MoxieMemo quotes shared here and on social media… It is wonderful you are playing handbells! Hearing them always reminds me of Christmastime at my childhood church! Sending blessings to you for a prosperous 2016… Cheers!
I loved this message this week! Being an Entreprenuer is so much fun but it’s hard work and I need to be fired up! Your message is perfect. The Von Trapp Family singers and happy play list got me jazzed for the morning and I am off and running. Thanks for getting me focused and energized!
Hooray! I loved reading your note, Hillary. :) It is my pleasure to get you focused and energized… Thank YOU for your support. Sending blessings and sassy sprinkles your way… Cheers!
