This week’s guest is the remarkable Courtney Poulos!

She is the broker/owner of ACME Real Estate, a design-savvy boutique brokerage focusing on brand marketing and real estate sales. She is a repeat panelist at Inman Connect and Awesome Females in Real Estate, and has been a panelist and emcee for the WomanUp!® Initiative. Which you all know is dear to my heart!

Courtney’s stated mission is to help women achieve financial independence through real estate investment. Her latest book, Break Up! With Your Rental: The Professional Woman’s Guide to Building Wealth through Real Estate, is available nationwide.

In her free time, she enjoys being a mama, maintains the brokerage website for design and real estate, www.acme-re.com, military-style workouts, singing karaoke at dive bars, and enjoying a nice glass of Malbec under twinkle lights.

1. How do you define SUCCESS?
I know I have inspired my agents or clients to take positive action. I am on stage and contributing.

2. Share the THREE WORDS that describe you BEST and why!
Enigmatic, inspired, and driven.

Enigmatic because I have always had a fearless m, big energy that captures the ears of an audience.
Inspired because I have found my WHY, and the creative potential that unlocks is endless.
Driven because I have never had a crutch and I have seen the results of action vs inaction.

3. What is the best advice you have ever received?
All reality exists in language.

4. What is one thing people would be surprised to know about you?
I started college at 13. Or I was on the Sally Jesse Raphael show in 1989 as a Madonna look-alike.

5. If you could go back 11 years – what would you tell yourself?
Buy real estate sooner!

6. What is one habit you are trying to build?
Self-care

7. How do you make a difference in your client’s lives?

I am a peer and advisor for the long term. I have helped them through multiple transactions and life changes, and consider my client’s friends.

8. What does MOXIE mean to you?
Moxie means having the conviction to deliver on promises, inspire other humans, and lift others toward accomplishing their dream life.

9. What does a “perfect day” in your life look/feel like?
Bath in the morning, a little work, beach in the afternoon, candlelit dinner. With my son and my partner.

10. What are your daily practices?
Exercise, Hot baths

11. What is your ONE WORD for the next 12 months? Why?
Persistence. I am moving into a space of commitment to the productivity of my agents and success for my personal endeavors. We have to keep on, not let up, until we get what we want.
